If you are having trouble accessing Vaio bios I just had this problem on an S series Vaio. I was looking at long winded videos, threads and such and finally decided that none of them actually worked. Here is a solution that DOES work. It forces the laptop into bios because it has no other option. On Win 8 and above that means getting into advanced power options and disabling fast start up first. Yes I'm serious - this will take all of one minute. You will be in bios. Make the changes you need to make and power down.
Put the hard drive back in and boot. End of story. Oh and if you are trying to put 7 on a laptop that shipped with 8 - select 'legacy' instead of UEFI.
